What is Crosswordle?

Every letter of a finished crossword has been shuffled, and your job is to swap tiles until each word reads correctly. Green, yellow and grey markings show which letters sit right, close or wrong. Fresh 7x7 and 9x9 grids arrive daily with no signup.

How to play

1. 1Choose between the day's 7x7 and 9x9 grids.
2. 2Study the scrambled board; every letter belongs somewhere in the crossword.
3. 3Swap letters to move them toward their correct squares.
4. 4Follow the green, yellow and grey clues to judge each placement.
5. 5Keep swapping until every word in the grid is solved.
